I'M SOOOO ADDICTED TO .... Crocheting!

:]  Unfortunately today I was blessed with getting the flu, so what to do on a Saturday night when you are puking your poor guts out?! Uhh basically crocheting! :] First i had found some string and was thinking about how bad I wanted to try to crochet! My grandma taught TRIED to teach me how to crochet, and i was a massive fail at it! Welllll to my excitement after I had crafted a friendship bracelet i was putting my string away and founddd... A CROCHETING HOOK hidden in the middle! Ca-ching!!! so for the last few hours i've been a crocheting freak.. And munching on ben and jerry's and gatorade! :] my latest creations?! A cute little bordered washcloth ( looks muchhh better in real life) A cute flower that somehow turned out alright, anddd my bracelet! :] Take a look!

 Not only did i play with the fun crocheting, i finally tried tissue paper heart wreaths, mine is tiny but it was fun and cute!!:]]

 

D.I. the new walmart?!

So here in Utah we have something called the D.I. , basically the new walmart! Just thriftier!!! :] Now i don't usually hop around the D.I. looking to find anything good, but surprise!!! I did! mommy dearest and i got into a new craft binge and decided to go on a hunt for treasures, low and behold the DI saved us! now here you can find your share of used as well as new! :] So i found 2 crazy cute candle holders, 2 little candle holders, a big green funky pitcher, and a few littler vases and jars, candles, some vintage looking frames and even a super cute tray all for under 20 bucks! So i ran home, dug out my spray paint and set to work!!! :] ha now i have a start on my home decor... now all i need is a casa of my own.. hmphhhh... oh and did i forget to mention the cute little santa decor i picked up.. Unfortunately i cannot claim the fame to this one, but for following holidays i sure will!!!!

:] INDECISION!

So as most young adults would be... i am ... well INDECISIVE i guess you could say! :] I have yet again changed my blogging name! :] sooo here I am starting college and I just can't stop thinking of all these funky cute crafts! SO a month or so ago i got bored.. I pulled out a lighter.. and some fabric... and a few beads and my trusted hot glue gun and set to work!!! :] I made FABRIC FLOWER HEADBANDS! and i love them... andddd have gotten tons of great compliments on these bad boys!!!! Not only are they cheap and easy to make, their fun and funky! 
TO MAKE:

*First find some scraps of different kinds of material.. 
*Cut them into some different "oval"ish shapes.. And yes i did just say ovalish.. The edges don't need to be perfect, they will soon be fixed!
* now for the dangerous part ;]] take a lighter and slowly burn around the outside of your ovals.. WARNING!!! THESE WILL CATCH FIRE! do this outside and do a little at a time!!! blow the flame out and the cute little burnt edges add to them!
*Once you have your ovals pile them ontop of eachother. they should decrease in size! 
*Hot glue each scrap of fabric to the one below it until they are all connected.. You could also sew them, but me and a needle... no mix

*Add a few beads or cute little centers to your flowers
* I just went to the dollar store and bought the squishy headbands because the plastic ones hurt my ears!
*Glue those babies on and ...TA-DA.. crafty cute headbands!
